Camouflage suits are becoming more and more popular. In our militarized world, the form has long stepped beyond the boundaries of military garrisons, as well as ankle boots and tactical backpacks. Today, military-style clothing can be seen on hunters, fishermen, athletes, tourists, urban dandies and other adventurers. And yet, the main purpose that the camouflage suit still fulfills is the protection and disguise of a soldier.
Types of camouflage
There are 5 main groups that differ in pattern and shade. This is due to the area in which it will be used. As a rule, this area gives the name to the group.
- "Forest" - gray-green or green-brown camouflage, designed for the nature of Europe and North America.
- "The desert", like the desert-steppe area, is painted in sandy-earthen shades. This type of camouflage is most common in Central Asia.
- "Jungle" is designed for the tropics. The color is bright, like the green of the mangrove forests of Southeast Asia and South America, the pattern is more colorful.
- "Winter" is used in all corners of the planet where there is snow. Basicthe background is white, in some designs it is covered with black or gray spots.
- "Bush" (from the English "bush") is not so common, used in southern Africa.
In addition to the main groups, there are also special plain camouflage suits. The most widespread shades are "khaki" and "olive".
Military "damask"
Currently, many countries of the post-Soviet space use camouflage developed during the Soviet era. Some species have been faithfully serving the fatherland for more than a decade without changes, while some, for example, the "silver leaf", are constantly being upgraded to meet modern needs. Among the types of camouflage adopted in Russia, the most common are "oak", "pixel", "number".
In addition to the colors, the military uniform has some other features. These include strength, the absence of parts that interfere with the fighter, wear resistance.
Seasonality also has an impact. A summer camouflage suit, as a rule, is brighter, its pattern is similar to forest branches or a steppe full of flowering herbs. The winter uniform is usually the same color as the off-season uniform, and for camouflage in the snow, special overalls are provided that are worn over the main clothing.
Hunting camouflage suits

Most wild animals have excellent eyesight,therefore, the hunter has to disguise himself no less diligently than a military intelligence officer. Many professionals dress in special costumes, painted with leaves and branches. Like the military, hunters have clothes designed for every season: rich green, white and black, gray and beige.
Camouflage in the city
Civilians dressed in camouflage suits can be met not only in plantings and parks. World-famous couturiers create entire collections in military style. As for urban fashion, nowadays camouflage fabric is used not only for comfortable suits for walking around the city, but also for underwear, pajamas and even wedding dresses.
Military-style clothing has become so widespread primarily due to its practicality and convenience. Films beloved by young people, in which the main characters fight the enemy, dressed in uniform, also had a considerable influence. Airsoft athletes use camouflage for their own purposes - these are the rules of the game, which is as similar as possible to a real fight. Often, everyday clothes made from military fabrics are complemented by appropriate shoes that look like real army berets, backpacks, and military-style accessories.
