There are more fans of nail art in the world than lovers of simple and plain manicure. However, they all know perfectly well that constantly drawing patterns on nails is not only a difficult task, but also a long one. In order to save time and effort as much as possible, stamping was invented. Nail design using this tricky technology can be done at home at least every day: the procedure will take no more than half an hour. Well, let's go!
What is this?
At the very beginning, you should definitely understand what is stamping? Nail design that can be created with it, what will it be like? So, the whole mystery of this term lies in its translation, which in Russian sounds like "stamping". Indeed, the manufacturers thought, why bother and draw every time on the finished manicure, risking ruining it, if you can simply reprint the finished drawing on the nail. Stamping nail design allows you to wear the most complex patterns and designs that many simplyunable to picture on their own. Moreover, you get such creations in the blink of an eye - the seal is set and the job is ready. Well, now let's move on to discussing a more pressing issue - where to get everything you need for this technique?
Purchasing kits
As a rule, stamping nail design is done on the basis of a thicker varnish than a regular coating. All this in order to make the result brighter and juicier, as well as to ensure that the pattern, together with the coating, lasts on your nails for as long as possible. Finding all the necessary equipment will be more than easy: it is sold in almost all cosmetic stores. That's what it's called - a set for stamping. It consists of:
- Several colored polishes.
- Transparent fixer.
- Metal disk with drawings (5-6 images).
- Scraper to remove excess polish.
- Print.
Sometimes they do stamping nail design on gel polish. In this case, in addition to the disk with drawings, a scraper and printing, you will also need acrylic varnish. It is they who will perform the "printed drawing".
What needs to be done first?
Preparation before stamping nail design is no different from that which is carried out before applying conventional varnish or shellac. Be sure to process the cuticle to give the hands a "presentation". It is also important to polish the surface of the nail, make it smooth and remove the greasy layer. Before applying base coatit is recommended to once again degrease the nails with a special tool: this way the varnish will lie more evenly and last longer. And, of course, decide in advance what colors you will make your drawing-print, and what shades will form the basis of your manicure.
Step by step instructions
Looking at the photo of stamping nail designs, I want to have the same manicure. There is nothing complicated in this, just carefully study the sequence of actions:
- Apply color polish in the shade of your choice and wait for it to dry.
- Now choose a different shade of polish than your base coat. Apply it to the pattern on the metal disc that you want to reprint on the nail.
- Use a scraper to remove excess varnish from the disc so that it remains only in the deep reliefs of the pattern, but not on the surface.
- Print the stamp to the shaded drawing, lift it up, check that it is clearly shown.
- Now, in one quick motion, press the stamp onto the nail, transferring the image onto it.
- Wait until the pattern dries and fix it with a top coat.
Instructions for shellac
In principle, the sequence in this technology is not much different from the previous one, but there are some nuances:
- Apply base coat to nails and cure in a lamp.
- Cover it on top with colored varnish in 2-3 layers, drying each one in turn in the lamp.
- Apply top coat and dry it in the lamp again.
- Now paint over the drawing you like with acrylic varnish and remove excess paint with a scraper.
- We transfer the drawing to print and print it on the nail in one motion.
- Now apply the top coat on the nail again and dry everything in the lamp.
Using gel polish to create a pattern is not recommended, as it will not last so long, moreover, it may begin to spread.
What kind of drawings can I make?
This question most often worries women who have not been familiar with stamping until now. Nail design (see photo below), which can be created using printing, can be absolutely anything. There are a wide variety of discs with pictures on sale, and among them you can choose something suitable for both young girls and mature ladies. On each disc, almost all the drawings are thematic, that is, they are some kind of collections. For example, one disc may have 8 images in the Gothic style, another - 6 variations of the pattern, and the third - graphic ornaments. All sorts of animals, cartoon characters, state flags and symbols of fashion houses are also very common. The simplest options are butterflies, bows, snowflakes, leaves, etc. By the way, in most cases, it is simple and unpretentious drawings that look much more impressive on nails than intricate "pictures".
For lovers of bright colors
Even the stamping kit itself looks like a child's toy: printing, a disk with drawings, colored jars of varnishes. Therefore, initially with the help of this technique on the nails it was possible to createonly cartoonish, well, or children's patterns that looked very cute and attractive. Until now, such prints are in fashion, and with proper selection of colors, they will look very good. With the help of stamping, you can depict hedgehogs, chanterelles, birds, cats and bunnies on your nails. As an addition to them, you can choose baskets, flowers and other auxiliary elements.
Graphics
This nail design is considered to be very strict, and it really is, as long as you use a monochrome palette. It is worth making a stamping nail design with the help of bright colors, as it instantly changes and becomes bright, catchy and even a little youthful. The most important thing about stamping graphics is that they can be mixed and layered on top of each other. So you will get not a template manicure, but something unique that hardly anyone can repeat.
Tender than gentle
Patterns painted on nails have always been considered a symbol of aristocracy and good taste. Sometimes a woman cannot afford, due to her own style, liberties in nail art, but she wants to dilute a boring and monotonous image. The easiest option to do this is to draw lace on the nails. Such a design will definitely look noble, subtle and elegant. It is almost impossible to make a perfect freehand pattern without certain artistic skills, especially if you do your own manicure. But if at hand there is a seal with the corresponding pattern onmetal disk, then life becomes easier. With a pattern, you can fill in at least all the nails or emphasize only one nail with it.
The easiest and most versatile options
Since the New Year is coming soon, many young ladies are thinking about what kind of manicure to do for this celebration. But the stumbling block in this venture is the cost of drawing in beauty salons. Even for the simplest images, you will have to pay extra as for a full-fledged manicure with a coating, and not everyone can afford it. Therefore, stamping comes to the rescue: with its help, you can transfer literally the entire winter fairy tale to the nail: Christmas trees, Santa Claus, and a cozy house with a smoking chimney. But there are easier options - these are snowflakes. They will look incredibly gentle, subtle and elegant, especially against the backdrop of a French manicure
Conclusion
As it turned out, with the help of ordinary varnishes and patterns extruded on metal plates, you can create unique variations of nail art. It does not even require special artistic skills. You can also make a stamping nail design on gel polish. Photos of such options were presented in the article. It is almost impossible to distinguish shellac from the usual thick coating for stamping by eye. The advantage of the gel is only that it will last longer.
