Tactical trousers are a special kind of clothing. They are sewn from durable fabric, have increased functionality and a number of additional cut elements. Unlike camouflage pants, they tend to be solid colors and are often wearable in both extreme and urban environments.

Who were tactical pants made for?
Today these pants are especially popular with the military and police, but first of all they were developed for mountain tourists. Then the pants were appreciated by construction workers, lumberjacks and representatives of other professions who often face physical work outdoors.
And only then they began to spread among the military. Later, women's versions of these pants appeared.
What is the difference between tactical trousers and regular trousers?
What caused such popularity? There are several factors, each of which is important and without which tactical trousers would be the most common trousers.
First of all, this is the fabric from which they are sewn. itthere must be a durable material that will withstand not only numerous wash-dry cycles, but also wear in difficult conditions. The most commonly used thick cotton fabric.
It is often water-repellent, in addition, many models use ripstop material. This is a fabric with a complex combined weaving, which contains reinforced thread and other fibers, depending on the specific purpose of future products from it. It is extremely resistant to tears, abrasions and cuts, yet light enough.
Features of the cut
Another distinguishing feature of the tactical pants is the strong triple seams.
In addition, the belt is often made with an elastic band or has special flaps with buttons so that it fits snugly in any situation. Velcro is also made at the ends of the legs so that they can be tightly fixed on the ankle.
But at the same time, trousers must have slots for the belt, and they are quite wide. They are especially carefully fortified. This is done so that the wearer of the pants can thread a wide, durable belt and attach weapons or tools to it.
Double fabric on the knees and buttocks is also quite common. It is designed to protect the areas that wear out the fastest.
And if you often have to kneel at work or during outdoor activities (hunting or paintball), then look for a model with knee pads. They are sewn tightly, and there are options with pockets into which special liners are inserted.
Everything is at hand
Tactical trousers will allow you to conveniently place all the necessary small items at arm's length. They have a minimum of 7 pockets (two on the front at the waist, two on the buttocks, two on the thighs and one pocket for a cell phone or a pocket knife on the belt), but options with more pockets are often found.
Popular models
5.11 is an American brand with a long history that specializes in the production of tactical trousers. The manufacturer has many models for different needs of customers. There are trousers specifically for the military and police with additional pockets for weapons, and there are tactical UTL trousers - i.e. tactical urban trousers that do not differ much from ordinary men's trousers in appearance, but have additional advantages.
For example, the 5.11 Stryke model is one of them - it is made of cotton with a little stretch, so they look quite aesthetically pleasing, fit well and are very comfortable to wear. You can go rock climbing, and work at a construction site, and ride a bike, and just walk in the park in them.
The Polish brand Helikon has become widespread all over the world and in the CIS countries. It produces a wide range of clothing for extreme conditions. Helikon SP-UTL-PR tactical trousers are also representatives of the class of urban trousers, with an attractive appearance, ripstop fabric, capacious pockets for carrying a large number of things, and even a sewn-inkey clip.
