Beautiful well-groomed hands are the hallmark of any woman, and therefore they should always look good. A neat manicure invariably attracts attention, especially if it is made using an unusual technique. Today, expressive designs, spectacular ideas are in trend, but the main bet should always be made on accurate execution.
Veil manicure is rapidly gaining popularity. There are also other names for this technique among the people, for example, "Tights", "Stockings" or "Lace". This design has an unusual expressive and at the same time delicate look.
You can make such a manicure both in the salon with a professional master and at home. Fortunately, the modern choice of products for nail art is unusually wide, thanks to which even those who are not very good at drawing have the opportunity to make a Veil manicure with their own hands. However, some rules should be observed: the nails should be of the same length and shape, the skin of the hands and the cuticle should be in close to perfect condition. If you make a mistake while working, do not try to improvise by drawing thicker lines. Delete the failed drawing, redo it again. Like all spectacular nail design options, "Veil"requires perfectly precise lines, all the shortcomings will be evident and nullify all efforts. But the reward for the work and efforts will be beautiful pens with unusual nails.
What is a veil manicure?
This design option has appeared recently, but has already managed to catch the fancy of many. Its main feature lies in its resemblance to tulle or nylon dotted with flies and lacy rusinka. Manicure "Veil" ("Tights") can be performed on nails of any length, moreover, with the help of a pattern, you can visually correct the shape.
Classic Colors
This type of manicure is most often performed in black. At the same time, before starting to apply the pattern, the nails are covered with a beige or pink base, on top of which the same “veil” is applied. To make it seem that the nail is pulled into capron, a tricky trick is used: a transparent varnish or a fixative is slightly tinted with black. The result is a translucent tinted finish.
Black manicure "Veil" can be combined with other colors of the base, both pastel, bright or glittery.
White "veil" is often used for wedding manicure. The technique is about the same. In combination with various effects, white lace inserts can organically fit into a casual look.
Speaking of classic colors, do not mean that they are the only ones. Many others are allowed. After all, a veil can be not only black or white, which means that for a nail design that imitates tulle or nylon, you can use differentshades. Experiment with dark green, sapphire, burgundy on a transparent background. Yes, and the background itself can be made colored.
Painting on nails with regular polish
Veil manicure, the photo of which is shown in the following illustration, can be done independently at home.
He will need the following:
- pink and black polish;
- manicure dots;
- thin brush;
- fixer or clear coat;
- applicators (ready-to-french or just flat strips are fine).
Before applying the decorative layer, carry out all the necessary hygiene procedures: treat the edges of the nails, buff the surface with a buff, treat the cuticle, remove the burrs (if any).
Cover your nails with pink polish and let it dry. Mix 3-4 drops of fixative polish with one small drop of black polish, mix. Cover with the resulting mixture those nails on which you plan to make a veil decor. When the surface is completely dry, you can begin to apply the pattern. Pay attention to how organically and expressively the peas look on the veil background. But even those who are not very good at drawing can make them. You can observe symmetry, or you can do without it, because the flies can be randomly located on the veil.
At the very end, it remains only to cover all the nails with another layer of fixative and let it dry well. A manicure will not last long, but its cost is relatively low, and even during the training periodmuch easier to manipulate regular polishes than gel polishes.
Manicure with stamping
This method is one of the most popular. It is relatively easy to master, does not require too much investment, and the result is always excellent.
To make a Veil manicure using stamping, you will need the following:
- varnishes: black and contrast for the background;
- plate with laser pattern resembling lace or mesh;
- plastic spatula;
- stamp for stamping;
- fixer.
Everything you need is sold both in sets and individually. In the nail departments, you can easily find discs with a pattern suitable for a veil manicure.
After the background coat is dry, apply 1-2 drops of black varnish to the disc, press the spatula firmly, spread the varnish evenly so that it fills the grooves without gaps or sagging. Press the stamp first to the plate, then to the nail. Gently pump from side to side, making sure the pattern lays flat. Remove traces of varnish from the skin and cuticles. After the veil layer has dried, the nails can be covered with a fixer.
This method is suitable for both ordinary varnishes and shellac, only each layer of the Veil gel manicure needs to be dried under a special lamp.
Stickers & Decals
Another easy and inexpensive way to get what you want. The choice of all kinds of elements that can be transferred to the nails is unimaginably large. The tactic is the same: cover with a layer of base color,we wait for drying, we transfer the pattern, we fix it. If you are working with gel polish, do not forget to remove the sticky layer before using transfers.
Decorative elements
Manicure "Veil" can be supplemented with various decorations. Small half-beads of the same color as the pattern, rhinestones, metal elements like bows and hearts will do. To make your nails look stylish, give preference to the smallest decor you can find. It looks better and is more comfortable to wear.
French, special nail idea
When you learn how to do a veil manicure, you can improvise with different looks. For example, a jacket looks very nice when an unusual coating is located only on the tips of the nails.
In order not to overload the image, the pattern can be applied only on some nails, and the rest can be covered with plain varnish.
Time and place
Before you start mastering this technique, it would be useful to remember that the Veil manicure is not appropriate everywhere. The abundance of dark shades is associated with mourning, and the combination of black and pink can resemble linen. This is hardly a good idea for an exam or an interview. Clothing should also match the manicure. "Veil" will fit into the evening style and even casual, but with clothes in the style of cargo or a tracksuit it will look ridiculous. You should not do such a coating before going on vacation, a sun-drenched beach is not the place for lace. Do not forget about moderation in jewelry:stylish laconic rings without large stones will suit this design.
