Givenchy perfumes have a long and rich history, and are loved and popular all over the world.
Foundation of the brand
The House of Givenchy was founded in 1952 by Count Hubert de Givenchy. By the time he opened his own brand, the French fashion designer had already established himself as the youngest creator in the fashion world. He also coined the term ready-to-wear haute couture and was the first to start creating ready-to-wear collections.
Understanding of the designer's fashion ideas was brought to life by two of his world-famous clients – Jacqueline Kennedy and Audrey Hepburn, who became the personification of the Givenchy style, and her on-screen characters were always dressed in the clothes of this particular brand.
According to the designer himself, it was Audrey who brought his fashion house fame. After all, many women in the world wanted to be like her, look and dress like her. For many years Givenchy has been the cradle of Parisian taste.
Opening a perfume line
The Givenchy perfume collection was also inspired by Audrey Hepburn, and in 1957year, the designer created his first perfume just for her. The fragrance was called L'Interdit and carried floral tones with light powdery notes.
The new perfume was such a resounding success with perfume lovers that it was the impetus for the founding of a new company - Parfums Givenchy.
Creating a men's collection
The first Givenchy fragrance (men's) appeared in 1959 and was called Monsieur de Givenchy, followed by L'Eau de Vetiver perfume.
After their appearance, these fragrances immediately conquered the perfume market and became its flagships. According to perfume connoisseurs and Givenchy himself, men's fragrances produced by his company are designed for real gentlemen - courageous, stylish and elegant.
The third fragrance "Givenchy" (male) was released after a significant break - in 1974 and is dedicated to the collection of men's clothing - "Gentleman" (Givenchy Gentleman).
To date, the company has already released more than a hundred different fragrances, about fifty of which are designed for Givenchy men.

This is due to the pricing policy pursued by the company in relation to its perfume products. Also, the volume of perfume production allows you to keep the middle price segment. The choice of volume of bottles also contributes to this, since it is possible to buy your favorite perfume a little cheaper in a 30 ml bottle than 50 or 100 ml.
