History of Creation
The company started its work back in 1995. But entrepreneurs achieved real success only after they realized the idea of creating an old Russian headdress for women. It was the kokoshniks that became the hallmark of the Masquerade Boom. Since 1998, almost all souvenir shops in large cities of Russia could meet their products. Tourists bought kokoshniks as a Russian souvenir. Costume designers came up with new models, studying old paintings, historical documents, visiting exhibitions in museums.
After expanding the range to50 different types, the management of the "Masquerade Boom" decided to sew the costumes themselves. Talented craftsmen and artists approached the matter so seriously, studied all the features, drawings and types of Russian costume, that popularity was not long in coming. Well-known folk groups of Russia began to buy products for their performances: the ensemble "Russian Song" and "Slavs" by Nadezhda Babkina.
We also actively began to design and sew costumes for the holidays. "Masquerade Boom" opened two more branches, so now there are three workshops of this company in Moscow.
