- a bowl of warm water;
- coloured polishes liquid consistency;
- fatty cream or narrow duct tape;
- dots or thin stick (a toothpick, for example);
- nail polish remover or nail pencil;
- varnish base and fixer.
Additionally, you may need a Q-tip or cotton pads. Oddly enough, water manicure on short nails looks especially original and cute.
A little tip: depending on the length of the nails, you need to choose the amount of mixed varnishes. Two colors are enough for very short ones, and for long ones there is where to turn around. Three or more colors can be used.

The procedure itself is simple:
- Remove the cuticle.
- File your nails to the desired length and shape.
- Drip base color polish into water.
- Then a few drops of extra.
- Apply cream or duct tape to the skin around the nails.
- On a colored spot of varnish, draw a pattern with dots or a toothpick.
- Dip your nails under the water, under the varnish.
- Remove your nails slowly to set the design.
- Remove excess polish from cream or duct tape.
- Apply fixer.
Additionally, you need to degrease your nails before immersion in water and apply a base for varnish. It needs to be dried naturally in the air or under a special manicure hair dryer. Only 10 steps - and it will be simply impossible to recognize the nails.
You can choose any drawing and pattern you like. You can first look at the photos depicting a water manicure in a nail art magazine. It's not the instructions that matter, but the picture itself. Repeating the design is not difficult even for a beginner in nail art. Prepare in advance forthat the first time it may turn out not at all what you expected. But sometimes it is the real masterpiece.
To know how to make a water manicure at home, you just need to follow the instructions. The base under the varnish will help protect the plates from absorbing color. In addition, this manicure will last much longer. By experimenting with color, you can achieve a unique result. Unsuitable polishes:
- thickened;
- with craquelure effect;
- velvet.
Remember, while creating a drawing, the tool should not pierce it, just slide slightly. If it doesn't work the first time, don't despair. Skill comes with experience.
