Not all girls like to visit nail salons. For many, nail care at home seems to be an easier, more convenient and enjoyable option. In addition, manicure is not only the processing of nail plates in order to give them a well-groomed appearance and the desired shape. Sometimes it's just nail polish in the right color to match today's clothes and mood. Because of every change in the image, it will not be possible to run to the salon, and therefore many master the secrets of a beautiful and unusual pattern on the nails on their own in order to be able to give them the desired color and draw the necessary pattern at any time. For such craftswomen, our article on how to make a manicure with a sponge is intended.
This kind of pattern on the nails came into fashion a couple of years ago. Its peculiarity lies in the fact that the end result is a watercolor effect. Try mixing several watercolors on paper - you get a smooth, gentle transition from color to color. This is what a beautiful manicure with a sponge looks like.
What will he need? We take the following tools:
- a piece of sponge the size of the nail plate or a little more, but not too big;
- a couple of cotton swabs to remove excess polish;
- acetone or nail polish remover;
- varnishes of two or more shades that will become part of the pattern;
- varnish base color;
- nail polish fixer (clear polish).
And now let's get down to the description of how to make a manicure with a sponge. The first step is to cover the prepared nails with the base color varnish. Then you need to wait for it to dry completely - it will be the background for our "watercolor painting". After the first layer of varnish is completely dry, take a sponge. It should be small so as not to stain the skin around the nail hole. By the way, the ideal solution to the problem of how to make a manicure with a sponge would be to use ordinary sponges for cosmetics. They are just the right size and come with a comfortable handle.
Apply a thin layer of varnish of the second color on the sponge. To remove excess, you can gently blot it with a piece of paper. With light touches, cover the upper part of the nail with varnish from the sponge. When this layer dries, you need to collect more varnish on the sponge and continue to get wet towards the end of the plate. The closer to the edge, the more intense the color should be. The result should be a beautiful transition of shades. After reaching the desired tone, the excess varnish should be carefully removed with cotton swabs, and after the layer has completely dried, cover the nail with a colorless varnish or a specialfixer.
This way you can do not only a manicure of the same color. After a few workouts, a rainbow manicure with a sponge will also work for you. It is only necessary to pre-select the colors of varnishes and the sequence of their location on the nail. And if you need to make the transition of colors on the nail smooth, you can do the following. On a flat surface (it is best to take a plate or saucer), you need to pour two drops of varnishes of different colors next to them, between which there will be a transition. Then they need to be connected with each other with a toothpick from a common edge, but not completely mixed. Both of these drops should be soaked with a sponge and gently applied to the nail, covered with a base layer of varnish. An imperceptible and beautiful transition is ready.
You learned how to do a manicure with a sponge. The methods are very simple to perform, but the result is an original and stylish manicure, which is indistinguishable from salon options.
