Heels - fashion, beauty, comfort? Everyone has tried them at least once in their life. It's not as easy as it might seem at first glance! If you think that girls who walk the streets with a graceful unhurried gait do not need any effort to stand on their heels so skillfully, you are greatly mistaken. Only a few feel comfortable enough wearing such shoes every day. And it's not a 15 cm hairpin, but rather a stable platform.
Are they taller than 20 centimeters? Where to find the highest heels?
Heels are not for women
Before we talk about the highest heels in the world, let's look at a little history. The prototype of heels can be considered a certain invention in ancient Egypt. The peasants attached a kind of hairpin to their shoes, which served as a support when working on an arable field. But it did not look like a modern heel.
Heels, as we are used to seeing them today, appeared in the era of the Golden Horde, and not women wore them at that time. It was the prerogative of men, or rather, male riders who put on such shoes thatbetter stay in the stirrup.
The first woman to wear heels was Catherine de Medici. It happened in the 16th century. She was very short (about 150 centimeters) and, in order to appear taller at her own wedding, she tried on a 5 cm heel.
5 centimeters! Once upon a time, this shoe height was quite large, which does not compare at all with the highest heels today.
Above the highest
It's hard to say what can be considered heels in the modern world, when fashion is getting more outrageous every day. You can tie planks about half a meter high to ballet flats, and now you are the owner of the highest heels. But let's stop fantasizing and turn to the facts.
Every girl, even if she is not a fan of shoes, knows the brand of designer Christian Louboutin with his famous red sole. So in 2011, at a charity evening in honor of the English National Ballet, the master presented pointe shoes 8 inches high (a little more than 20 centimeters). These shoes do not have a platform: that is, the girl literally has to walk on tiptoe. These are definitely ballerina shoes!
Another designer (only now from Romania) Mihai Albu, who is rightly called the "architect of shoes", created the highest heel on shoes a year before Louboutin. Its length was 12 inches (about 30.5 centimeters).
His other creations with less impressive heels are also worthy of special attention:they are all unique and inimitable. And they cost, of course, also unique! But who talks about money when it comes to beauty!
A few years later, Albu's record was broken: the English brand LadyBWear Limited released world-famous shoes with a total height of 16 inches (more than 40 centimeters!), Of which 11 inches (28 centimeters) are platforms. The new record was entered in the Guinness Book of Records and is held there to this day.
A few tips
We do not think that many young ladies will dare to wear the highest heels of 40 centimeters, but when wearing 10-15 centimeters, you need to be careful:
- It is worth remembering that in some countries high heels are bad form.
- It is not recommended to wear heels for more than 3 hours in a row. If you still have to wear them all the time, don't forget to massage your feet and get regular rest.
- If you are a beginner, you do not need to immediately put on a 15 cm hairpin. Start small!
- Choose heels based on your age and your physiology.
- Choose the right shoes for a particular style of clothing.
I'm going to… where they wear heels?
Not all nationalities are such fans of platform or stiletto shoes. Surprisingly, Russians and Ukrainians wear heels most often.
American women prefer to wear sneakers. The Germans also give their preference to sneakers, though already quite well-worn. Italian women wear sandals and French women- boats or ballet flats.
Europeans and Americans can hardly be seen on the streets in heels. Shoes are more like shoes for some kind of holiday or celebration. For them, comfort is above all, and then beauty and fashion.
Conclusion
Heeled shoes are, of course, very feminine. They visually improve the figure and make the silhouette more sexy. But in the pursuit of beauty, one should not forget about he alth! Wearing ultra-high shoes is dangerous and not always beautiful and appropriate. And the photo of the highest heels is the best confirmation of this.
