What is eco-fur? It is a great replacement for the real one. It looks, feels like natural, only its composition is completely different. Today, eco-fur, according to reviews, is considered a quality material that perfectly copes with all the prescribed functions. And this is not only a great alternative, but also a way to save many innocent animals that are killed and skinned to eventually make a natural fur coat.
What is eco-fur?
Ecological fur is a man-made material that is extremely soft, warm and light. Externally, the product on this basis looks impressive, not much different from natural material. For example, if they make eco-fur for mink, then only a professional with experience can find discrepancies with the original.
This is due to the fact that all the villi are based on polyacrylonitrile fibers, so they do not clog into shreds, but are distributed evenly. The villi also have viscose in their composition. To create artificial eco-fur, ordinary knitted fabric is used as a base.
Production Methods
Artificial product, as a rule, is made on the basis of two textures, which almost copy the structure of real furs. As mentioned earlier, first of all, you need a knitted fabric, which is created from synthetic and natural fibers. Already on this fabric, villi or hairs are glued, they are also attached by spraying. The appearance itself in the end speaks of a quality product, since it turns out to be identical to the animal's fur.
In addition to polyacrylonitrile, the villi contain polyester fiber - it is also called lavsan, and nylon or polyamide component.
Villi or hairs are attached to the base itself by using 3 methods:
- Knitting and sewing. Involves knitting the villi into the warp thread.
- Fabric stitched. Synthetic fibers are already included in the warp thread.
- Glue. The bristles are glued, and the result is a very wear-resistant material that can be combed.
The option with gluing the villi makes the product look like nutria, arctic fox, mink fur. The result is the most beautiful eco-fur coats made of faux fur of this type.
To achieve this kind of similarity, a different shrinkage method is used, that is, the product contains both long villi and small, fluffy ones. As you know, in animals, the fur has the same structure.
To introduce a variety of variations of faux fur to the masses, it is often dyed in other colors that look like a natural product. Morematerial can be trimmed if necessary, making some fibers shorter and some longer.
Distinguishing Features
What is eco-fur and what makes it different? Modern manufacturing technology has made it possible to achieve unprecedented results in the form of a homogeneous web, which is almost indistinguishable from the real product. Eco-fur today is a warm material that copes with all the hardships of the weather. Unlike natural fur, ecological fur is able not to let moisture through, to keep its shape for a long time, not to roll and not to cake. Eco-fur in the photo even looks much better than natural.
It is very different from the "predecessor" in terms of technical parameters:
- Weight.
- Softness and suppleness.
- Fiber uniformity.
- Wet weather resistant.
- Keeps everything warm inside, keeps cold out.
- Worn for a long time, stays in perfect condition.
Faux eco-fur has greatly changed all its indicators over the past century. Previously, it was an uncomfortable, quickly worn material, which, moreover, did not look very beautiful. Now eco-fur began to look luxurious and warm better.
What is eco-fur for?
Fur-based products are now very common at fashion shows. Designers actively use it to reveal their ideas to the fullest. Many girls dream of getting an exclusive piece to look stylish and fashionable.
The point isthat the dimensions of things made of such material are very easy to adjust. At the same time, its integrity is not violated. In fashion, judging by the design ideas, eco-fur coats made of various types of fibers, of any color and style. Often, eco-fur is used to trim a leather jacket or decorate a hood, sleeves or collar. Particularly popular are various leather jackets with set-in pieces of eco-fur.
Differences from furs
Furs are a well-known basis for fur coats, and one of the most popular ones. Eco-fur has not yet completely surpassed it in its characteristics. Knowing what eco-fur is, a person can assume that fur performs better in wet conditions. But many modern ecological models can outperform even such a dense material.
Eco-fur is not able to warm the body as much as fur can. No matter how hard a person tries, natural fibers are time-tested and warm better. Fur also looks different - it is even softer and smoother than eco-fur.
Perhaps in the near future this gap between ecological and real fur will be filled, and the first can easily replace natural products. This is necessary not only to save money, but also to save the lives of poor animals that are being tortured.
Cons of natural material
Despite many positive features, furs also have negative ones. First of all, this is the complexity of production, since to create a beautiful fur coat, you need fur from an animal that was fed correctly, its hair was looked after. If notobserve such moments, the fur will be faded, rare and ugly.
Natural fibers are notoriously short-lived, not only because of hair loss, but also because of moths that eat it with great pleasure. The moth lays its larvae on the material, and they feed on it during growth. It is for this reason that the product is very difficult to properly clean and process. This requires knowledge of the optimal temperature for storage, as well as the availability of special tools.
For many centuries, the cost of furs has not decreased, so you will have to spend a lot.
The benefits of eco-models
Main benefits include:
- Many animals are surviving, so it is possible to avoid the extinction of some groups.
- There is also less harm to the environment in general. No wonder such fur was called ecological.
- Children should not accept the fact that it is necessary to kill animals. Thanks to this, they become less aggressive towards nature and everything that exists.
- More loyal value.
- Eco-fur is easy to care for, some types can even be washed.
- Moth does not eat the material, so there is no need for additional processing.
- Eco-look is much easier to make than natural.
- A variety of sizes, and the product is created from solid pieces.
- Lighter weight than real fur.
- Looks no less luxurious, many models surpass in beautynatural fur coats many times.
- Allows you to always look stylish and fashionable for a small cost.
Flaws
Ecological fur is more breathable than natural furs. Today, the creators are actively working on this, so many models that are an order of magnitude more expensive will provide warmth.
The product electrifies itself quite strongly, transmitting a reaction to hair and other clothes. It's a minor flaw, but many girls are terribly worried about it.
Some models are not as durable as others. When choosing, it is important to consider who the manufacturer is. If the eco-fur coat is original, then there will be no problems with the wearing period.
