How to make a pattern?
To make the result happy, you should build a pattern of boots. For convenience, it is recommended to use a plastic material such as polyethylene. If not, paper will do. The fabric boots pattern is built in different ways:
- With an old comfortable pair of shoes. Applying polyethylene and focusing on the seams, you need to circle the details along the contour. Check the correspondence of the parts to each other in length and correct.
- You can build a pattern by applying it to your leg. The foot is outlined, an increase of 2-3 cm is made, depending on the material from which the boots are sewn. In several places of the upper toe part, the width of the leg is measured - this is how the height of the rise is taken into account.
- The easiest option is to download a pattern from the Internet. You need to find the model you like, fit it to your size and print it.

What do you need for work?

- The main fabric is the top of the boots: fleece, fur, velor, etc.
- The sole is made of leather, leatherette,thick raincoat fabric. This may be the main fabric, as long as it is not too slippery. Speci alty shops sell soles for handmade shoes, but they make the product heavier.
- Insulation, such as a synthetic winterizer or silicone, will not only protect your feet from the cold, but will also keep the shape of the top. An important point - do not forget to make an additional allowance for the thickness of the material.
- The lining fabric is needed as an additional layer, and also allows you to hide all the seams inside the product. Lining details are cut from the main fabric or, if the top is too tight, from a thinner material. If the boots are sewn from a sheepskin coat, then no lining is needed.
- You will need a needle, nylon thread for hand stitching and a sewing machine if the density of the fabric allows it to be stitched.

It's easy to make homemade boots. This requires only a little skill with a needle. The only condition is to strictly follow the instructions on how to sew boots from fabric. How to sew fabric boots - step by step instructions
- Print the pattern and cut out the desiredsize by marking control points.
