Coloring (from the English word "colour") - a procedure for giving hair a certain color or shade. Unlike simple dyeing, the hair does not look like a monochromatic mop, but shimmers with luxurious highlights, as if the summer sun is entangled in them. Coloring on short hair is especially beautiful (the photo will be presented in the article), because in addition to the luxurious and unusual color, the hair acquires visual volume and density.
The natural shade of hair is rarely uniform, so colored hair looks the most natural. To date, there is more than one way to dye your hair in this way. The most popular coloring techniques in Russia and Europe are described below.
Ombre
Perhaps the most famous hair coloring today. Short haircut, long hair no longer looks dull and monotonous. Thanks to the fashionable technique, the hairstyle becomes similar to the styling of Hollywood stars. Ombre (from the French word "ombre" - "blackout") is pronounced with an accent on the last syllable, according to the rules of French phonetics. Like everything French, ombre hair coloring looks sophisticated, sophisticated and a little spicy. And although the origin of the word is one hundred percent French, there is an opinion that the unusual hair color was first noticed on lovers of hot beaches in sunny California. The girls' hair burned out from the sun, which provoked the effect of a fashionable double dye.
Ombre hair looks unusual, but also uncomplicated thanks to the presence of two shades and a smooth transition between them. The main distinguishing feature of such staining is that the tips always look 2-3 tones lighter than the roots. This effect can occur naturally, or you can create it artificially - in a hairdresser. Such coloring is suitable for short hair, long, medium length - not so important, the main thing is that the haircut is not graduated, multi-layered or torn, but uniform, then the desired effect will be achieved.
You must use at least three shades of hair dye: a natural hair tone and two colors a tone lighter than the previous one. The main thing with this coloring is a subtle transition between shades, then the curls will look natural and fully meet all fashion trends. Coloring short hair (photo can be seen below) should be done very carefully, coloring the hair not from the middle of the head, so that there is no sloppy effect of overgrown roots, but only affecting the tips. Then the hair will geta truly luxurious look, will look lush and look amazing in any style.
Today, there are other techniques to create the effect of burnt hair. This is shatush, degrade, balayage. Perhaps only masters of hairdressing can catch the difference between them, since the result is almost identical. The ombre itself also has several varieties that have become very popular lately.
Creative ombre
Ombre hair doesn't have to be natural. Among teenagers, representatives of various informal subcultures and movements, as well as people of creative thinking, color ombre is very popular. Both shades used in dyeing can have an unnatural color, but you can apply bright paint to natural hair. Among blondes today, ombre with pink color is popular. In this case, the hair is dyed twice: in a shade of "blonde" and in pink from the middle of the head.
You can successfully apply creative hair coloring to any haircut. Short hair looks great with bright colors, and it will be much easier to grow or recolor it.
Ombre vice versa
Another creative yet more natural look for trendy coloring. In a standard ombre, there is a transition from a dark tone to a lighter one. Here, the opposite effect is obtained - the closer to the tips, the darker the hair should be. This coloring helps to visually give the hair density due toadding a darker color. Such coloring is especially advantageous for short hair (see photo above), dark tips at the level of the back of the head will appear more magnificent and voluminous. This coloring technique is especially suitable for blondes.
Ombre for blondes
On blond hair, ombre should be done with extreme caution. Firstly, white curls are thinner and weaker in structure, more susceptible to damage and drying out during dyeing and thermal exposure (including exposure to sunlight). Secondly, on very light hair, ombre can be almost invisible if you choose the wrong color palette. Therefore, blondes are more suitable for staining with contrasting dark or colored shades.
On the other hand, if the owner of a golden mane really wants to get the effect of burnt hair, you can carry out the lightening procedure at home without additional tricks. It is enough just to squeeze the juice from a whole lemon, cover the desired length of hair with this substance and walk with such a mask in the sun for about two hours. Thanks to lemon juice, the hair will burn out and brighten much faster. It is best to carry out such hair coloring on short hair.
Ombre for brunettes
On dark hair, ombre looks bright and harmonious. Long dark curls are a great field for the creativity of hair stylists. Firstly, light shades on them will look contrasting, which means they will be brighter and more natural than on blondes. Thanks to this, it willthe same effect of sun-bleached hair is achieved. Secondly, it is the length that allows you to “stretch” the color from the darkest to the lightest. The tips may glisten with golden wheat, while the roots will remain a rich chestnut color. Coloring for dark short hair will no longer be so bright and contrasting, since fewer colors will be required for coloring, but this does not mean that the ombre will be less beautiful.
Highlights
About 10 years ago, hair highlighting was at the peak of popularity. Today, hair coloring with strands is more suitable for owners of blond or light brown hair. Thin golden stripes on the hair of blondes look as if the rays of the sun entangled in them shimmer with a natural platinum hue. This effect creates visual volume on the hair due to the presence of several colors. Therefore, such hair coloring for short hair, thin, dull and sparse will fall just in an ideal way.
Highlights on dark hair
On brunettes, unfortunately, this effect does not look so advantageous, since thin light strands, connecting with dark ones, will create a gray hair effect. Wide white strands look tasteless and out of date at all. However, if you choose the right color scheme, your hair can be transformed beyond recognition.
For example, highlighting with colored strands will look fashionable and unusual on dark hair. Red, purple, blue, green -A cheerful palette that is perfect for the summer season. Such creative coloring will perfectly fit on short dark hair (the photo is shown below), it will create a zest in the hairstyle, add a more interesting effect.
Bronding
Another fashionable way of coloring hair is bronding. Its difference from other methods of dyeing is to give the hair the most natural color along the entire length. As mentioned above, ombre makes hair burnt out only at the ends, maximum in the middle. Highlighting is the imposition of vertical strands. In the bronding technique, in addition to vertical hair coloring, there is also a horizontal one - the creation of “glare”. Paints are selected individually for each color of hair. Bronded hair shimmers with many different shades, close in tone to the main one. Due to this, they look thicker, and more voluminous, and more natural. Regardless of whether they are light, dark or red, the color palette almost always has golden, chestnut, coffee and light brown hues.
Hair coloring for short hair is also applicable. Kare, bobs, boyish haircuts will look much more feminine and sophisticated if they are dyed in this way. In addition, the lack of length can be compensated for by the density that the variety of colors in the strands will create.
So, these were the most popular hair coloring techniques to date. It is important to remember that, like anystaining, coloring grows back sooner or later. Of course, it looks much more natural and presentable than with solid tinting. But a solid color can be restored by slightly tinting the hair at the roots, while even the most talented master of the most expensive beauty salon is not capable of returning the coloring to the same look that was at the first dyeing.
