French manicure, which is a white stripe along the free edge of the nail, was invented by Jeff Pink, the founder of the ORLY polish brand. The history of its creation is connected with the need to quickly change the image of Hollywood actresses in the process of filming various scenes.
Although it happened in 1976, this design remains relevant to this day. In English, the name sounds like "French". Initially, J. Pink called it "natural nails", but the name did not stick.
French on oval nails is the very first variation invented by an American. For many years this design has not lost ground. And this is not surprising - it has become a classic.
Ole House nail shape
The most famous nail training and design company in our country is Ole House. She has established traditions, and this applies not only to teaching methods and traditional competitions, holidays of teachers and students. For many years, despite the ever-changing fashion for the length and shape of nails, the standard from Ole House has remained unchanged.
This is a classic length (the length of the nail bed is equal to the length of the free edge) and an oval shape. These are the nailsmasters build up after training. This is a very stable structure that is difficult to break. Due to the rounded shape, the nail does not cling to clothes, and the tips do not chip off.
French on oval nails is another calling card of this brand. It is performed in different ways, the color scheme may also vary. But one thing is certain - this is the most classic version. When it comes to dress code (whether white tie or casual), these nails go with any outfit.
When is it better to choose an oval
While there are many advantages to square nails, sometimes it's better to opt for an oval shape.
- This is especially true for thin, flexible, brittle, flaky nails. At least for the time of their treatment and strengthening. Usually in such cases, the natural length is minimal. To visually lengthen the shape, a French manicure is suitable.
- Large, wide nails should not be emphasized with “square” or “stiletto” shapes. The most advantageous for them is oval or almond-shaped.
- French on oval nails is ideal for age manicure.
- Sporty girls often break off the tips of their nails while playing volleyball. To avoid discomfort, it is better to immediately give the nails an oval shape and not very long. Salon length of nails - 2/3 of the free edge of the length of the nail bed. This is the best.
Photo of oval nails: jacket with a pattern
A whole trend of nail designs are drawings on a white smile. No wedding is complete without them. It is absolutely not necessary to draw on eachnail. Two designs on each hand is enough.
The following types of patterns are combined with a jacket:
- Lace.
- Flowers.
- Mesh.
- Shuttlecocks.
Why choose drawings over volumetric design
In the nail fashion at one time, masters were fond of volumetric design. It is called "acrylic modeling" and, in fact, is a miniature sculpture. This special kind of design captivates the eye.
- Fragile flowers and translucent leaves with visible veins are a real work of art.
- The cameo on the nail, which repeats the motif of the ring and pendant, evokes admiration for the skill of the performer.
But few can wear a voluminous design. It is inconvenient when you need to do housework, wash your hair and the like. In addition, dust, dyes from tea and coffee get into the voluminous roses. This does not contribute to the preservation of the charm of volumetric design. Yes, and they constantly annoy many for all clinging rhinestones, convex flowers or “knitted nails”.
French on oval nails without decorations may seem boring. In this case, you can make a colored smile, color constriction on the nail bed, design in the same style, but so that all five fingers are different. A moon manicure, a gold rim all over the nail, one completely white nail (usually nameless) will help in this.
French on oval nails: photo
When talking about a smile on oval nails, it is important to determine the height of the antennae. These are subtle drawings of a jacketalong the side ridges. The antennae can be raised high, visually narrowing the nail bed. Or there may be almost none - usually this happens on short nails.
Extended oval french nails in classic or salon length are perfect for design. Some types of it look good only on a classic white smile. Especially scarlet poppies.
When correcting, instead of drawing a smile again, you can simply make a design that will cover problem areas. After two weeks, the smile loses its original whiteness. It's okay - you can cover this place with drawings.
At home
French on oval nails can be done independently. This will require the following materials:
- French strips (it's better to buy those used for airbrushing: they are thin, transparent, stick well to natural nails and artificial coating).
- Bevelled brush.
- Palette.
It is difficult to get the right amount of polish (or gel polish) from a bottle with a brush. You can get a bulging smile that quickly chipped. Apply a thin coat in two or three passes.
A home-made jacket on oval nails, the photo of which is given above, requires only accuracy. It is not necessary to have the talent of an artist with the chosen method of applying a smile.
Design order:
- Prepare the nail forartificial turf.
- Gently stick French manicure strips on one hand.
- Put the smile color on the palette.
- Collect the varnish (gel polish) with a beveled brush, passing it in one direction and the other along the palette.
- Taking care not to brush over the strips, carefully cover the free edge. You can use the tapping technique. In the corners, the brush is placed with a narrow tip towards the roller.
- Gel polish polymerizes in a lamp, ordinary gel polish dries for at least five minutes.
- Repeat the operation. Apply a third time if necessary. To prevent the coating from being too transparent, sometimes it is enough to lift the pigment from the bottom of the bottle. To do this, turn the bottle over and twist it slightly in your palms.
Choosing this shape and classic design, you can feel confident in any situation.
