It is a fine powder that, when mixed with the rest of the ingredients, creates a gel-like mass that hardens afterminutes. Previously, acrylic powder contained methyl methacrylate. After combining with the monomer, the composition solidified only after heating with ultraviolet rays. In addition, the powder was quite toxic and sometimes caused various fungal diseases. Now such powder is made on the basis of ethyl methacrylate. This material outperforms its predecessor in every way.
Known technique
To grow nails began not so long ago. The procedure very quickly became popular, and now almost every nail salon has a specialist who can radically change the appearance of the client's nails in a short time. An interesting fact is that the very method of creating a wonderful mixture has been known for a long time. They were used by dentists to make fillings. And now, in front of the patient, they use special medical instruments to make a plastic mass, which also includes acrylic powder. And in order for the mass to harden faster, a beam lamp is used. The technique is quite simple, but very effective.
The same situation happens with nails. Two materials are involved in the work: liquid monomer and powder. When mixed, they turn into a viscous mass, which is applied with a special brush. It is easily leveled around the entire perimeter of the nail plate and hardens on its own after a short time. This procedure has a number of significant advantages:

2) In the process, the mixture does not touch the skin.

As a result, the new nail will initially have the desired shade, and there will be no need to decorate it with varnish. The nail can be made translucent. This will add naturalness to it and at the same time visually hide all defects. In addition, the acrylic method allows you to choose not only the length, but also the shape of the nail. It can be made square, rounded, made in the form of a droplet, stylet or spade. It all depends on the desire of the client.
Custom decor
If the nails are treated with gel polish and already have some shade, this does not mean that it cannot be changed. Such a manicure can be easily corrected. To do this, you need paint-gel, acrylic powder and a UV lamp.
All actions must be done calmly and confidently:
- Using a brush, apply a colored gel to the surface of the nail plate. The drawing must be selected in advance and preliminarily practice a little.
- Take powder from the jar with a special spatula and sprinkle the treated nail with it.
- Wait a few seconds, but not too long.
- Gently shake the powder back into the jar.
- Place your hand in the hole of the lamp and dry the nail for 2 minutes.
- Remove the remaining particles of powder with a brush.
If everything is done correctly, then within an hour the manicure will be completely different. Of course, it will be difficult to depict a complex pattern, so you should try to use simpler geometric shapes.
Strengthening structural strength
Unique powder is suitable not only for building and decoration. Its possibilities are much wider. With the help of such a powder, the nail can be made more durable. Any woman can cope with such a simple procedure on her own. For this, only the necessary materials, tools and equipment are needed. Strengthening with acrylic powder is carried out in three stages:
- Apply base coat on each nailcoating. This must be done very carefully, applying the composition with smooth movements so that it does not touch the skin.
- Sprinkle the surface of the nail plate with powder, shaking it off the brush with a light tap.
- Dry your hands in an ultraviolet lamp.
- Remove powder residue with a clean brush.
- Cover the nail with a thin layer of top.
- Dry your hands again under the lamp.
Nails are ready for further processing. After that, they can be covered with colored varnish and enjoy the work done. If necessary, this procedure can be repeated after a while.
