Today, an indispensable attribute of every well-groomed girl is a manicure. And it's not just about neat nails. For some, a manicure is a routine mandatory procedure, someone does not attach importance to all the nuances, and there are those for whom nails become a real canvas for art.
Manicure as a state of mind
Ukrainian nail blogger Anna Gorelova has been proving, telling and showing for more than four years that nail polish, like a living being, has its own “character” and “behavior”. In her reviews, shades, textures, nuances - everything is displayed in incredible photographs. After all, Anna is a professional photographer. She shows how nail polish can “open up” depending on the context – clothes, accessories, makeup, surrounding things. In an interview, Anna admitted that on working days she can repaint her nails up to 40 times! And all this so that female readers can choose the decoration for their claws as accurately as possible. Her blog is for those who believe that a manicure is not just a cosmetic procedure or the art of painting nails, but a state of mind.
"Lacomaniac" and the 61st varnish
After the works of Anna Gorelova were appreciated by manygirls and her blog began to gain popularity, she received an offer to release her own collection of nail polishes. Now the girl does not cease to please the same "gourmet lovers" (the expression of Anna herself), like her! Together with the Dance Legend company, the nail blogger has been bringing his laco fantasies to life for the fourth year already! Lovers of beautiful and original manicures, or rather nails, get their hands on more and more new collections of Dance Legend polishes by Anna Gorelova.
That's how the hobby became a real creative process of creating not just beautiful pictures for the blog, but also directly materials for these pictures. To date, as Anna Gorelova writes in her blog, Dance Legend has presented six dozen of the most unique polishes. And all the fans are looking forward to the next collection. But let's talk about everything in order. So, what manicure options does Anna Gorelova offer?
From Miracle Yuda to Lebedushka
In March 2014, the first collection of Dance Legend nail polishes by Anna Gorelova was released. Twelve stunning and truly exclusive masterpieces in designer bottles!
You can't ignore the original design of the lacquer packaging. Glossy owls are comfortably located on black matte boxes. Their silhouette is based on a drop of varnish.
The girl was looking for inspiration for the nail polish collection in the best period of her life - childhood, so the idea is based on images, places and symbols from folklore and fairy tales. So, in the first collection we were presented with"The Frog Princess", "Alyonushka", "Goldfish", "Miracle Yudo", "Swan," Firebird", "Cat Bayun", Water", "Vasilisa", "Mavka", Serpent Gorynych "and even "Koschei the Immortal". Isn't it true, even just the names push you to try out the fairy tale on your nails as soon as possible?
Anna Gorelova's polishes are shades and textures thought out in every detail. It's not just a shade of red, gold or black. Each varnish is painstaking work. Some of them Anna had to improve 6 times until the desired color and effect was achieved! And all this to make your pens look unique.
To not be a pumpkin
In 2014 and 2015, special mini-collections of 3 polishes dedicated to Halloween came out. Each of them is mysterious and has its own secrets.
The first special issue gave us "Vorozheya" (thermo-holographic from pinkish-red to purple-burgundy with a signature jelly consistency), "Kikimora" (green mica and green-golden shimmer, secret - glow under a UV lamp) and Enchantress (gold star and purple glitter in an orange base, glows in the dark).
The second special edition is "Baechnik" (black particles and different-sized/different-shaped glitter in a translucent base), "Drema" (a near-black base with a multi-colored shimmer shimmers with an iridescent holographic in the sun), "Dream" (a thermal varnish with a shimmer, from pink to purple).
Owls fall in love too
The next two mini nail polish collections are dedicated to Valentine's Day.
In 2015, this is a story in three acts about the perception of love at different ages: "Mischievous Girl" - pale pink polish with a scattering of glitter in the form of small hearts; "Dove" - thermal varnish from pink to white, with golden shimmer and matte texture; "Princess" - a combination of red base, raspberry shimmer and gold glitter.
In 2016, the mini-collection is dedicated to weddings. Nevertheless, Anna does not deviate from folklore traditions, so we have "Decoration", "Betrothed" and "Vyunitsa" before us. From a beautiful bride in white to a young wife. The polishes of this collection are complex in their textures and shades. Keeping the usual firm consistency of jelly, they lie on the nails in a light veil, and the shimmers create an indescribable shine.
Winter Tales
Two winter nail polish collections continue to amaze with the wild imagination of their creator.
Snegurochka, Goblin, Gamayun, Vedun, Morozko, Finist, Babai, Sirin, Kolyada, Bereginya, Lada, Morok - these are the characters of the first winter collection. We will deliberately list them all so that you realize the breadth of coverage of our fairy tales and traditions. Anna Gorelova creates not just new colors of nail polishes, she fills every bottle with characters! The special features of their characters form the basis of the texture: glitters, mica, powder, unique pigments, shimmers, thermal effects. Everything is thought out to the smallest detail. Therefore, it is so pleasant to apply not just varnish on the nails, but a wholehistory.
The collection of polishes "Winter 2015-2016" includes 12 polishes - one for each month of the year. Each of them maximally conveys the accents of the selected period: "Prosinets", "Fierce", "Protalnik", "Flower", "Traven", "Izok", "Lipen", "Serpen", "Veresen", "Zhovten", " Leaf fall" and "Snezhen". Each polish is unique!
Summer colors
Fashionistas are always looking forward to new collections before the season. This also applies to the output of varnishes. But often we do not find a shade on the shelves of stores that would accurately convey our mood. The summer collection of Anna Gorelova and Dance Legend will please the most sophisticated gourmands.
The symbol of this collection was the holiday of Ivan Kupala. Here we see natural shades, so similar to wild flowers, rivers and ears of corn, traditionally hidden under unusual names: "Dawn", "Solstice", "Herbalist", "Saffiano", "Sleep-grass", "Midday", " Fireflower", "Seine", "Casket", "Rune", "Borisfen", "Datura".

To have a place to create
Nails are a canvas for the master. The artist is Anna Gorelova, manicure is her art. In just 8 months, she was able not only to improve the general condition of the nails, remove the problem of brittleness, delamination and burrs, but also significantlyenlarge the nail bed. What's the secret? Anna willingly shares it on her blog in great detail. We will briefly outline the main points of the trimmed manicure procedure especially for you.
First, you need to use only quality tools. Yes, at first glance, their cost seems high, but the service life of professional equipment is much longer than that of Chinese "analogues", and the result differs significantly. Therefore, do not save on yourself - it's not only about beauty, but also about the he alth of your nails and skin. For Anna, the necessary tools are cuticle scissors, a glass nail file, a buff, a spatula, cotton pads, a brush and a magnifying glass; of the funds - nail polish remover (ZHDL), remover, base coat, varnish and top.
Secondly, the thoroughness and consistency of all processes.
First - alignment of the length of the nails. Anna does this without washing off the varnish, because due to the different area of the nail plate on different fingers, the length of the free edge will be different. After polishing, all nails look proportional.
If you need to remove the side skin rollers, then it is better to do it on dry hands, just sawing them off with a file.
Further, without resorting to baths, but simply by dipping each finger into the water, a remover is applied to the cuticle. With the help of a cuticle pusher, the cuticle is pushed back, and everything superfluous is removed from under it, and the pterygium is also removed from the nail plate.
Then you should wash off the already unnecessary remover and once again walk with the sharp end of the spatulato remove all residue. Dry your hands with a towel, check the result. If necessary, correct with a spatula.
The next step is cutting off the excess cuticle with special scissors. This is where the difference between a quality tool and products from the market will be best seen. You can also use wire cutters, it all depends on your skills and habits.
Anna Gorelova evaluates the result of each stage with a magnifying glass, as her hands are always under macro photography.
Final step: nail polish removal
Next - nail polish removal. It is best to use ZhDSL without acetone. Moisten a cotton pad and apply to the nail for a few seconds with a compress, then wipe off the varnish moving from the nail bed to the free edge. Movement in one direction will protect against the appearance of peeling and roughness on the surface of the nail.
After removing polish, wash your nails with a brush in soapy water and let dry for about 20 minutes.
If necessary, polish the tips and buff the ends of the nails with a buff, running the rough sides no more than 2-3 times. Performing this step regularly will eliminate the delamination problem.
And finally, painting. First, a base is applied with a coating of the side edges and ends of the nail. Next - the required number of layers of varnish. The fixative and drying completes the whole process. Thanks to this trimmed manicure, Anna Gorelova enlarges the nail plate so effectively.
That's all the secrets.
