The history of the Kubanka hat
This headdress owes its origin to the hat, which in the 15th-16th centuries was preferred by men in the Caucasus. It was from there that such a hat model came to the Kuban. At first, the Cossacks wore the hat itself on their heads, but it seemed uncomfortable to them, because it often fell off while riding horses. Then the Kubanka was made a little lower, while leaving the former cylindrical shape.
Among the men of the Kuban, this hat was the main winter headdress. It was worn both on weekdays and on holidays. Kubanka hats first appeared as a women's headdress in the 80s of the twentieth century. Whileall the ladies of the USSR dreamed of having it in their wardrobe. The men's Cossack hat was with a short pile, mostly from astrakhan fur. The female version of the Kubanka was made mainly with long-haired fur.
Today this winter hat is back in trend. Kubanka models are presented in a fairly wide range, which allows each woman to choose the option that suits her.

Kubanka is a low hat with a cylindrical shape. It consists of a knitted base, which acts as a lining and a fur rim. The cylindrical cap-kubanka has a flat bottom. For the Cossacks, it was trimmed with velvet, and in modern models of hats it is covered with the same fur as the main rim.
As a rule, the Kubanka is sewn from natural fur of mink, polar fox, silver fox, raccoon. It is fluffy and warm, so it perfectly warms even in the most severe frosts, which is especially important for residents of northern countries and certain regions of Russia. Less common is a kubanka hat made of faux fur or knitted from wool.
For whom?
Every girl will be able to pick up a Kubanka hat. But if this model suits women with aristocratic facial features perfectly, then chubby ladies will have a harder time. They need to remove the emphasis from the massive lower part of the face. This will help the game of color. For example, white women should choose taller hats that will visually elongate the face.

Kubanka is a hat for true ladies, so the image as a whole should be aristocratic, touching and feminine. This hat will not fit in any way with sports puffy and bright youth jackets.
