Despite the fact that the Goth subculture was born more than forty years ago, it does not lose its popularity. Why this happens, we are not interested in the topic of this article. We are more concerned about the question of what gothic makeups exist and how to make them yourself.
Key style features
For this subculture, appearance is an important component. Serious attention is paid to clothes, shoes, accessories, hair and make-up. The fashionable direction in this style has always been set by musicians. They are guided by them when they want to decide on the appearance.
At the first stage in the gothic style there were a lot of elements from punk: piercings, hairstyles in the form of mohawks. Now the main features of the image are as follows:
- predominance of black in clothes;
- jewelry made of silver or metal (crosses, symbols of death, images of bats and more);

In the make-up, which is done not only by women, but also by men, white powder and black eyeliner are always used, bright lipstick of saturated colors. What do you need for makeup?
To make a make-up according to all the rules, you need cosmetics and working tools:
- liquid black eyeliner or pencil;

- powder;
- dark lipstick (black or red);

- skin cleanser;
- basic face cream;
- makeup brush set.
Gothic make-ups are distinguished by the fact that they use clear, even lines: for eyeliner, for outlining lips. This will require some practice and a firm, steady hand. After the foundation, it's the turn of the powder. You need to apply it in a thin layer, using a special large soft brush. Do not get carried away so as not to turn your face into a theatrical mask.
