The world famous brand of sportswear "Adidas" is associated with a badge consisting of three stripes. And all thanks to its founder Adi Dassler, who came up with the badge for the Adidas company. It was he who came up with the idea to create shoes for athletes that would stand out from the rest. As a basis, Adi took three strips, which after some time were improved. Within a couple of years, he began to produce not only shoes, but also high-quality clothes.
A bit of history
In the 70s, Adidas, whose badge had already gained popularity, modified the primary logo. The stunning success of this company's sportswear prompted the founders to diversify the familiar logo. This is how the shamrock appeared, which is based on three stripes. All these events preceded the fact that Adidas, whose icon is a shamrock, gained great popularity and became a global sportswear brand.
Why three different icons?
To date, the firm "Adidas" began to produce, in addition to clothing, sports accessories and attributes. Thanks to this, literally everyone knows what the Adidas badge looks like. Great popularity, highdemand in the sales market, prompted the company to create three official logos.
The fact is that at the moment "Adidas" has three lines of sportswear:
- Original - clothes that were at the origins of the company, the fashion of the distant 1970. Olympic sports jackets, T-shirts with elasticated sleeves, sports sneakers. The icon of this line is a shamrock with three horizontal stripes.
- Performance - clothes for professional athletes, as well as amateurs. A feature of this line are the latest developments in materials and technologies. These are clothes that are designed specifically for sports. For this line, Adidas chose the triangle icon with three stripes.
- Y-3 - clothes for fashionistas and fashionistas of the so-called "luxury" class. Manufacturers themselves see just such clothes of the future. This line uses a circle icon with three bars.
