Among the various materials for manicure that exist today, matte gel polish stands out. Why? Because now he is at the peak of popularity among girls. A manicure made with its help attracts the attention of others, catches and intrigues.
All facets of matte
What is so remarkable about matte gel polish? Yes, at least the fact that it can be "made" independently from any gel polish. But this will be discussed below. Matte manicure with gel polish came into fashion relatively recently: a couple of seasons ago, but many girls have already managed to fall in love with it. And there is a reason. Glossy and mother-of-pearl designs, as well as floral / animal and similar prints, have already become boring - they have been tried up and down. A matte nail gel is something from the category of a little black dress: sophisticated, beautiful, stylish and feminine. Therefore, all facets of matte, whether it be a manicure or an accessory, have become a new and, perhaps, an immortal hit.
There can be a lot of them if you use gel polishmatte on natural nails. And by the way, they also returned to fashion, displacing extended nails from the pedestal. Now it’s not enough just to completely cover the nail plates with matte gel polish to get a stylish manicure. No, the trends are such that they just require interesting designs. For example, a combination of glossy and matte, where on one coating with the help of another, a pattern or pattern is made in exactly the same color. It's relevant! For example, glossy water droplets are depicted on a matte nail. It is interesting and stylish, and it is performed simply and quickly. Or another option: all fingers are covered with matte gel polish, and on one, the entire nail is lined with rhinestones. A kind of festive option, because for everyday life it is too elegant and impractical.
From gloss to matte
Many owners of colored nail polish are wondering how to make gel polish matte, and is it even possible. Yes it is possible. At what at once in two ways. Which one is better is for the girls to decide.
Those who have already applied and dried the material, and only then wondered how to make the gel polish matte, can be advised to use a matte top. True, you had to buy it first. This is a universal tool that allows you to make any gel polish matte in one stroke of the brush. And you don’t have to purchase a separate coating of the desired shade, but not in gloss. Economical and simple. After drying the top, the sticky layer is removed from it, if it was at all, and voila - a matte manicuregel polish ready.
This option implies "barbaric", from the point of view of the masters, actions. First, the nails are prepared and processed in the usual way, then the base (base) is applied, a layer of colored gel polish is applied, dried, and the colored layer is reapplied. And at this stage, even before drying in a UV lamp, the nails are held for a few seconds over a pot of boiling water! From the rising steam, the structure of the gel polish is somewhat modified, the gloss disappears (“shrinks”), giving way to haze. With the fixer, you will have to repeat the procedure so that it also “clouds”. It is worth noting that this option has a significant drawback - there is no guarantee that the haze will appear on all nails in the same way. It may turn out that some fingers will be more saturated, while on others the color will change beyond recognition. Therefore, the method is considered barbaric.
It would seem that it could be easier than how to apply matte gel polish. Take it for yourself, and cover your nails in the same way as with ordinary colored material. But not everything is so simple. There are some features and tricks. And you need to know them in advance, even before the start of the procedure. If there are no differences at the preparation stage, then there are a couple of rules in the application process.
Basic of the basics
First, the nails are filed to the desired shape and length with a fairly soft nail file, and the cuticle is either pushed back with a pusher, or even removed with gel / nippers. After that, be sure to remove the fatglitter buff for natural nails and degreaser. It can also be used as a regular nail polish remover, which contains acetone (that is, almost any, with rare exceptions). After that, you can’t touch the nails with your hands, otherwise you will again have to remove the fatty film. The base is applied in the same way as when performing a manicure - in a thin layer. It dries in a UV lamp in just 60-90 seconds. The sticky layer does not come off. Do not touch the base with your hands.
Gel polish matte is applied in the same way as a simple one. The first layer is very thin, without touching the cuticle and side ridges. Dries in a UV lamp for about 90-120 seconds. After that, a second layer is applied, also very thin. The advantage of matte gel polish is that it practically does not streak on nails. Therefore, two layers are usually sufficient.
To keep the material matte, the top must also be matte! If you apply the usual glossy, then the whole meaning of the material is lost. Therefore, the manicure is fixed exclusively with a matte fixer. This begs the question: why buy separately non-glossy gel polishes at all. But actually here's why: there is a 3 in 1 material that does not require either a base or a fixer. Therefore, you should carefully read what is written on the bottle. If it is not indicated that this is a 3 in 1 tool, then the top is definitely needed. And be sure to matte, otherwise the manicure will not live up to expectations.
To diversify manicure, make it more interesting andmore unusual, you can combine the effect of matte and gloss on the nails. Even a modest jacket can only become more expressive and original from this. When the nails are already covered with a matte gel polish and a fixer, you can draw a smile line with a glossy top and a thin brush. Under the rays of a UV lamp, the material will harden, resulting in an original and stylish, but at the same time simple design. In exactly the same way, you can perform a drip manicure. On a matte surface, glossy droplets are applied with a top coat with a thin brush or dots. After drying, a long-lasting and beautiful design is obtained.
Matte gel polish, the design of which is quite simple, can be used not only in combination with a glossy top, as described above. So, for example, on one nail you can make an aquarium design with an unusual pattern or even in the style of “liquid stones”, on the rest - a matte manicure. This combination makes nail art very stylish and unusual, attracting the attention of others. By the way, matte gel polish is often used to design in the style of craquelure (with a cracking effect). This also gives the image a unique charm and originality, which is often lacking in everyday life. The cracking effect can be obtained both with the help of special fixers for shellacs, and independently, using only a thin brush, drawing all the elements by hand. Such a matte craquelure manicure allows you to make nail art especially interesting, and it doesn’t take much time. The color scheme is selected individuallyunder the outfit, mood or accessories. By the way, all of the above can be done with ordinary nail polish, however, the result will last several times less - 3-4 days, no more.
