All modern women want to have flawless nails. To do this, many of them regularly visit specialized salons or do manicures and pedicures at home. In any case, the final stage of caring procedures will be the application of decorative colored varnish to make the nails more attractive. But, unfortunately, ordinary nail polish tends to chip, crack and damage quickly, especially if it is not dry enough. However, today an amazing solution has been found - this is Shellac coating.
"Shellac" is a coating that combines the properties of a simple nail polish and a gel for building them up. Thus, the Shellac coating is easily and simply applied directly from the bottle, which looks no different from a regular varnish container, but dries under the influence of UV rays, like a gel. The novelty appeared with us relatively recently, about two or three years ago, but has already gained immense popularity. And there are many reasons for this. First of all, Shellac is not only easy to apply, but also lasts for a very long time - up to two weeks (depending on the condition of the nails). ita huge plus not only for women who constantly live "at the pace", but also for those who are going to go on a long vacation. Shellac is also ideal for pedicures. In this case, it is generally able to hold out for about a month, which is very important in the season of sandals.
Secondly, the Shellac coating dries quickly under a UV lamp. The first base coat, which is applied under the color coat, dries for 1 minute. The second and third layers - colored "Shellac" - two minutes each. Then a fixative is applied to the nails and again they are placed under the lamp for 2 minutes. After that, the stickiness of the coating is eliminated with a sponge moistened with a special liquid. Therefore, the whole procedure takes no more than 30-40 minutes, and after its completion, you can immediately go about your usual business, without fear that the nail polish will peel off, rub off or something will be imprinted on it.
Thirdly, even though Shellac is half of the gel, it does not need to be cut off during correction. But this procedure is very tedious and requires some effort. With Shellac coating, everything is much simpler. You need to moisten cotton swabs in acetone or 99% isopropyl alcohol, apply them to each nail, secure with a band-aid or wrap with foil, and soak for 10 minutes. Then it is enough to remove the remaining coating with a wooden stick to remove the cuticle.
And finally, shellac nail coating does not harm he alth at all. It does not contain any hazardous substanceslike toluene, formaldehyde and dibutylphthalan. Nails do not need to be filed, as before applying the gel, so Shellac can be reapplied immediately after removing the previous coating.
The disadvantages of Shellac nail coating include the fact that not everyone can afford it. However, this one-time procedure can replace two or even three home or salon procedures using conventional varnish. Also, the palette of this coating is still small - a little more than twenty colors. However, here manufacturers do not stand still and the number of colors will undoubtedly increase. After all, at first there were only twelve of them. In comparison with all the advantages of this tool, these disadvantages seem so insignificant that Shellac will undoubtedly become even more popular in the future.
